Latino Brief Therapy and Training Center

The Latino Brief Therapy Center was started in 1994 by Karin Schlanger and Barbara Anger-Díaz to fill a need in the community. In California there are many Spanish speaking families whose needs were not being met by the existing system of health care delivery. It has been in operation continually since its inception and has expanded its services to the local schools.

Currently, the LBTC will provide a 2-week training aimed at the bilingual, bi-cultural professionals who are interested in acquiring better tools to deal with this underserved population. This hands-on, interactive training is designed to give a better understanding of what brief therapy can accomplish with clients from around the world.
